About
Stellar Collisions started out as an idea 17 years ago. In 1997 a group of creative writers aspiring to become published authors set out to develop a series of shared Universes. Each writer would add new ideas and all aspects would be synergized into several vast panorama settings. The copyright of individual works would belong to the individual author or collaborative authors, but the whole shared Universe would be open for each creator to use to develop their own unique stories.
The idea grew and in time was focused upon a firm commitment to become a corporation. Then the atrocity of 9-11 occurred in 2001 and everyone's personal lives were derailed as military obligations and duty to the United States of America came first. In time each writer and artist found life was complex and the ideas of youth faded away before the needs of family, careers, and civic duty. The original design team had consisted of up to 14 individuals, but the number slowly dwindled away till only half the people were left with any interest in pursuing the idea.
During the past decade the ideas have still flowed and extensive creative work has been done, but there never seem to be just the right time to push the final effort to bring Stellar Collisions to full fruition. Throughout the years technology and the internet has marched onward to new capacities. Where once the design team had thought of doing a small publishing house with all the considerations of book printing and distribution, now the capacity to epublish and print on demand have opened whole new doors.
So as the calendar marches into 2015, the design team has moved to attempt to bring Stellar Collisions properly to life. It will start off publicly as an author's collective, but we have a solid business model and will move to a content generating start up before the year's end.
